a. Update on Facility Development Program and Budget Revisions      (D)  
 

Director of Facility Planning and Construction Ahmad Sheikholeslami will provide a review of the comprehensive program and the revised budget for the Measure U Bond Program.

a. Adoption of Revised Master Facility Program Budget      (V)  
 

The Revised Master Facility Program Budget is being presented for approval by the Board.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Board approves the Revised Master Facility Program Budget (March 2010).

         
b. Approval to Proceed with Oak Knoll and Encinal School Modernization Projects      (V)  
 

Ahmad Sheikholeslami, Director, Facility Planning and Construction will present details of the Oak Knoll Modernization Project and of the Encinal School Modernization Projects.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Board approves proceeding with the Modernization Projects for Oak Knoll and Encinal Schools.

         
c. Adoption of Resolution 09.10.28 Regarding Specifying Single Sources for Procuring Materials to Use in the Construction, Repair and Alteration of District Facilities      (V)  
 

Public Contract Code Section 3400 allows school districts to specify particular brands or trade names to be used in construction projects to enable consistency with existing products and to decrease cost of maintaining and improving facilities. A resolution must be adopted by the Governing Board in order to meet the requirements of the Public Contract Code.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Board adopts Resolution 09.10.28 Specifying Single Source for Procuring Materials in the Construction, Repair, Alteration of District Facilities.
